I first read this as a short story in the spooky sci-fi Supra Vellum anthology. This is an expanded story which I truly appreciated because that short story was fantastic and wanted more. THANK YOU Ava Ross! I absolutely love this expanded story. Well thought out characters, instant background story on each of the main characters. The instant extra spicy chemistry of Lordek, an alien and human Iris is fantastic. I was intrigued and appreciated the interesting appendage. I highly recommend this story.
