What a journey to get to their happy ending!

If you have not read Marked By Cain, a few chapters at the beginning of Sins of Bliss look at what happened to Sly through his and Vinnie's perspectives to show why Sly had to go back to New York and get his woman. But it's not that easy when Vinnie insists that they can't be together and that marriage is her choice. Sly sees her necklace and after his friend recounts an interaction he had with Vinnie, Sly knows not to listen to her.

While being married to Vinnie is everything Sly wanted, there's still the family issue to contend with. Sly's family is mostly welcoming, minus his cousin for obvious reasons, whereas Vinnie's family really only has her brother as an ally for them. But what happens when Vinnie's brother decides he's done playing nice and wants what he wants now?

Sly and Vinnie get their happy ending in book 2 of the With a Kiss Duet.

Much better ending than Romeo and Juliet, but I loved the slight tie to the play! I loved that while Sly and Vinnie still had things to overcome before they could really have their happy ending, they were together and happy about it before the halfway mark. I do wonder if Sly's time with the Sinners made it so he didn't have as much hesitation doing what he did or if Sly would have done the same thing without his time in an MC. And Vinnie's brother, I wonder if there was some instability shown as a child that could have indicated he wouldn't listen to reason as an adult.

This is the second book in the With A Kiss Duet and cannot be read as a standalone, Sins of Bliss must be read first.

I was obsessed with Sly in Marked by Cain and Sins of Sorrow so it’s not at all surprising that I am even more obsessed with him after the events in Sins of Bliss, but I am also pretty obsessed with Vinnie. She was willing to endure a very toxic and traumatic arranged marriage in order to protect the man she loves. The road to a HEA was definitely a rough ride, but Vinnie and Sly's story was so worth the emotional toll!
I also loved getting to see characters from Marked By Cain make an appearance and honestly I just loved the side characters from this series in general (the boys group chats kept me laughing). I see so many possibilities of spin offs and I really hope the author has some ideas in the works! 2 s Tiffany121 12
