I have so enjoyed this series each of the books deals with one of the Dragons finding their soul mate the other half of their soul. This book is Akkan's story, Akkan is an old dragon, approaching the end of his days when he finally meets Daisy, his soul mate. But Daisy was, along with other dragon spirted women, captured and tortured by the Vardigah a race of evil elf- creatures who want only to destroy all dragons.

When the book starts Daisy is in a coma, traumatized by the torture she endured at the hands of the Vardigah. The dragons managed to rescue her and Akkan knows that she is his soul mate. If she awakens and they bond he will live. But if she doesn't wake or if she doesn't love him and bond with him he will die and she will go on to live a normal human life.

After three weeks of waiting by her bedside, Daisy awakens and Akkan tells her who he is, something she accepts easily. She tells him that she has lived many lives and remembers most of them and that she always felt her life had a purpose.

They spend time together learning about each other's lives but too soon destiny steps in a throws them a curveball, something so unimaginable that both their lives and the lives of all dragons will never be the same again.

The story is well written, it flows well and had some very unexpected twists to it. The characters are well-drawn and are both in their ways very strong. That's all I'm going to say - no more spoilers from me.

A SURPRISING CONCLUSION

This, the last book in the Broken Souls series, has certainly proven to be a surprise. Definitely a good one! I must say that I am going to miss these arrogant, gorgeous dragons!
Daisy has been in a coma since being rescued from the Vardigah. Akkan has been at her side constantly other than to eat and catch a few hours sleep. For him this is torture! He has been waiting for 200 years for his dragon soul mate and all he wants is to see her open her eyes and look into his. He can’t believe that he will ever be happy but he can accept that as long as she is alive and happy. Both Grace and Jayda have visited hoping to connect with her to bring her back to consciousness. So far, nothing has worked. Akkan knows that something is happening with Daisy because her coma is not restful. But he cannot know the half of it.
For Daisy it is close to hell. She has been cycling back and forth between the torture of the Vardigah and trying to find her emotional balance by psychically floating in a warm, purple sea. She has always been a strong, spiritual person but this experience has come close to breaking her.
How will these two halves of one soul find each other? Being dragon spirited doesn’t mean that you will automatically fall in love. Akkan wonders how long he’ll be able to live if she doesn’t want him!
I found myself cheering for both of them!

This is an outstanding dragon shifter romance & an excellent addition to the “Broken Souls” series. The well-written plot is full of intrigue & unexpected situations/events. There is good scene descriptions & world building. The well-developed characters are strong-willed, complex individuals with unique personalities.
It is about: a young woman (Daisy) is trapped in a coma after being tortured by dark elves ((Vardigah) & her soul mate (a dragon shifter, Akkan) is anxiously sitting by her, waiting for her to wake up but when she finally does wake-up Akkan is pleasantly surprised by her acceptance.
There is: dragon shifters, witches, humans, soul mates, memories, past lives, friendship, magic, twists & turns, intrigue, some suspense, mystery, adventure, danger, threats, discovery, compromises, some steamy scenes, contentment, love & a satisfying conclusion for this couple. I absolutely enjoyed reading this dragon shifter romance & would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre.

***WARNING*** Will Have You Reading Late Into the Night

Ms Alisa Woods is one of my favorite authors. I really enjoy how she develops her characters; makes you feel the things happening in her book could REALLY HAPPEN. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed her Broken Souls Series. Each Main Character was uniquely and completely broken so much that your heart pulls for them all to find their Soul Mates and their HEA. This particular novel, the love story of Daisy and Akkan, was TREMENDOUS!! I stayed up wayyyy past my bedtime to finish this novel because I couldn’t wait to read what was happening next! As usually, Ms Woods did a great job developing this story line. TOTALLY SHOCKING AND AMAZING! I was very happy with how this Series ended.

Daisy is trapped in a coma that she can't be released and she's being tortured and traumatized by the evil elves Vardigah.
Akkan has been anxiously waiting for her to wake the longer she's under will her mind be shattered will the fates step in what's in store for them both when she does finally wake will they get their HEA.
I definitely recommend to get this book so well written it grabs you from beginning to finish with a very unexpected twist it's a must have book for sure so well worth the read I love this series it won't disappoint. Terri1,903 3

My Dragon Master...

Broken Souls books 6. This is Akkan and Daisy story. Their story is very twisty, angsty and dramatic. Daisy comes out of coma only to find out she has lived several lives and remembers them as well. She finds she has a soul mate Akkan. But that's where the story takes a crazy turn. No spoilers from me. Although they get a happy ending its kind of level 10 crazy. Of this entire series, this has to be my favourite book. The reference to the tarot cards were quite close to my heart considering that I love reading the cards. Also the master twist in the tale was something that I would have never guessed in a decade. This series has been wonderful. This book focuses on Akkan and Daisy and it is filled with love, tenderness and healing not just for the couple, but for all. I love how the author ended this series. What you end up getting with this story is totally unexpected experience. I did not see it coming.

Dragon Master

This was an interesting wrap to the story of the dragons, their mates, and the bad elves. It felt a lot different than the first books, but it tied up everything neatly. I’m sad to see the end (I think) of this world, but I leave them in good hands. Barbara264
