The start of the Wolf’s Midlife Bond series the moon goddess knows what she is doing but often her children decide to take another path. Zora was sweet knowing who her mate was when she was young, they couldn’t stay away from one another, but she isn’t by most shifters because she is a hybrid her mother was human, her father a wolf shifter so being accepted by either side was rough and when your mate happens to be the son of the alpha. Zora loved Kieran and her mother told her they were fated. But his father, the alpha, would not allow a half breed to become his son's mate. So she left taking a bit of him with her. Now ten years later she has to go to her mother's cabin in the woods for healing items which she should have kept up on. There she senses him coming and her mother tells her and the kids to run into the woods. Kiernan
smells her and follows. She tells her children to hide and turns to fight him. When the children intervene he finds out he has twins. He is shocked and ashamed. The anger and hurt of what he did when he rejected her has ridden her hard for ten years. His father is still set in no half breed for his son but he will accept the children as his grandchildren if not his pack. The fight to prove himself to her is all uphill. It also comes along with his older brother going crazy and challenging his father. The danger of ranger wolves, rogues, who could attack has become present. How does he get past the old laws and the dangers to keep his mate and pups safe? Will he be able to do that? Will she ever forgive him and give him a chance?
A story that will leave the reader in tears at points and wanting to slap idiot wolves.

Looking for something that is more for the midlife crowd, not young adults?!? This is a great book! It feature a strong and confident single FMC, Zora, who has run to the city to take care of her twins that our MMC, Kieran doesn’t know about. All because he had to reject her since she was a half-blood shifter.

The author does a wonderful job of writing emotional scenes of the push and pull between Zora and Kieran and whether they will end up together in the end. They also focus on the emotional turmoil it took on both characters during the separation time, which I find other books sometimes lack.

There is a gruesome scene in the book that could be problematic for those that are squeamish. There are also a few spicy scenes and they are depicted extremely well! I enjoyed the author adding the emotional aspect in with the physical aspect, which sometimes gets left out in these types of scenes.

Overall, this was an interesting shifter book that I enjoyed thoroughly.

I think that this is the first book that I've read by Aline Ash and I absolutely LOVED it. Unusually for shifter romances, both main characters seem to be in their 40s. This is a refreshing change and I would love to see more of this. We see many books where the male characters are in their 40s, but it doesn't happen as much with female characters. I loved both main characters. Even though Kieran rejected Zora, it's clear that he's not a bad person, just one who doesn't want to betray his family and his pack. Zora stays away to protect her children, not knowing they were never in any real danger from Kieran's pack. When she reappears ten years later, both are more mature and ready for a happier outcome.

I have to say that even though he was only a side character, I resonated with Rome and I hope that he will be getting his own book. What happened to him and his mate was tragic, and he deserves his own happy ever after.

I really enjoyed this book, and I think that this series is going to be a good one. This story about rejected mate Zara, who left the pack pregnant and alone after being rejected by her fated mate Kieran, was left to raise twins in the land of humans where it wasn’t so easy to get by. 10 years later, after she has been attacked by a vampire, she realises that she needs herbs from her mother to help her heal. Kieran arrives at her mother‘s cabin with his injured brother to be healed, and they realise that their love is still as strong as the day that they wanted to mate. This time Kieran is determined that he is going to be her mate. There is nothing that his family will say to stop him. There is tragedy in the family and their way of life is threatened. In the end. These two characters love is more than the obstacles that are put before them can withstand, there is a happy ending.

Kieran was told to reject Zora by his parents because she was a half-breed so she left but was pregnant with his twins. Zora got bit and to go to her mother’s home to get some herbs to help combat what she was feeling and took the twins with her. Kieran took his brother Rome to her mother to heal when he was hurt, Kieran scented her his wolf took over to see her. Zora attacked him when he tried to get around her to get to the twins who stopped her from killing him. Told him to leave them alone so his parents wouldn’t do anything to them so he swore a blood oath to her that would never happen again. They left but he found them and saved her before the man did anything to her talked her into going back to her mother’s home. His parents were happy about the twins and finally accepted that they were mates. Good book!.

"An Amazing Shifter Romance"
This Story is Sweet, Funny, and Exciting! It has wonderful characters.

When Kieran goes to his father. To get permission to mate Zora his father refused. When Kieran chooses his family and pack over her. Zora runs away to the near by city. And Kieran is a father to ten year old twins! Can Kieran and Zora put the past behind them, and finally become a family?
You will love the sweet, exciting, and funny shifter romance. It is a five star plus story.a-must-read Debbie876 1 follower

Rejected mates, second chances, fated mates, forbidden love, danger, drama, secret pregnancy, steamy, entertaining, and HEA.
Zora is a half wolf half human. She's shuned by the wolf packs because of being a half bread. Kieran, full wolf, rejects Zora because his father ( also the alpha) refused to accept her as she's deemed "to low". Tens year apart. Ten years of heartache and regret. Finally Zora shows up at her mother's where Kieran learns of his children. Not wanting to give up his family, he fights tooth and nail to keep them and find acceptance from his family.

This is a great series opener and I love how well the author drew me in to the characters, their emotions and the love tying them together. Zora, after being rejected by her mate for being a half blood, has twins secretly. Making a life in the human world has been tough but until she's attacked by a vampire, she's done it on her own. Heading home to her mother for herbs, she encounters Keiran again. The love is still there but this time, he doesn't put pack and family ahead of his mate. Yippee! Expect an exciting read with action, danger, drama and steam as these two work their way to an HEA...finally ;D 1 Danee2,932

This was a wonderful shifter story. We are taken into the lives of Zora and Kieran. Due to the fact that she is half human and half wolf, she is shunned and seen as impure by the rest of her wolf pack because she is not 100% wolf. We are banished by Kieran and her father and disappear. When they see each other again after years, can they get a second chance? And what happens when he finds out that she had his children and he missed ten years of them? I enjoyed their story and I recommend everyone to read this book. Especially if you shifter stories.

Love all of Aline Ash's books. This one is awesome. The characters seem to come right off the page. When Kieran rejects Zora and she leaves to have his children the feelings they experience are deep and emotional. They reunite and Kieran tries to get Zora to accept him again and she is running scared. Kieran's brother Rome brings violence to the pack. They live through a lot of ups and downs until they get their HEA. I recommend this book to all paranormal romance readers.

There's nothing as sweet and tragic as a story of unrequited love. Zora and Kieran had wanted to be together, against pack rules, but when Kieran is told in no uncertain terms that Zora's halfbreed status is unacceptable, she's torn that he doesn't fight for her. Regret and guilt makes their reunion bitter sweet, as well as the secret she'd been keeping. Loved the storyline and the characters. Great world building, A very entertaining read.

This book was totally unexpected. I thought it would be a rejected mate quick read. Boy was I wrong. The emotions strewn through out this book had me pausing or rereading whole chapters. I loved the characters maturity more than anything else. I was so heartbroken by Rome and hopes he gets a happy ending. Good read definitely recommended.

Great Second Chance Story

The Alpha's Rejected Fate is a roller coaster ride of drama, action, secrets, surprises, twists, heartache, steam, and much more. When I started, I expected one set of events for Keiran and Zora to reignite things between them, the difficulties that they have endured are crazy but I loved how the author weaved their story.

This is a story with so much tragedy, tears, love, memories, and romance. Written with only a bit of redundancy, the details and storyline pull in a reader to this unique shifter world. It does not follow the typical shifter world and actions but is still a good read.

I felt I’m too young for this book because it’s for got grown characters and I’m definitely not at that level of maturity. I’m still in my childish twenties so having mature characters was interesting but also not cause I some pettiness in my characters. So great book if you want order mature characters Karen Nastasio2,454 16

So, I feel as if the author was trying for a different world about shifters. Trying to think outside the box. Well for me I didn't it.
The alpha only being aloud to have a family and children with out having to leave home drove me crazy and made me almost put the book down.
The fmc gave in way to easily and went back to the mmc.
Then there was her thoughts! They drug on and on.This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.Show full review Nicole Deanne Veracruz943 6

I know this was a book about Zora and Kieran. But the person that had the biggest impact on me in this book was Rome. I literally sat at the kitchen table crying. Back to Zora and Kaieran I love that they were able to find their way back to each other and mend all the past hurts. I would have loved to have seen their family grow. And I wish that I would have been able to see him make the changes as an alpha that would have saved them all their previous heartache.

The protagonists second chance story was good and dramatic, but Rome side plot is much better i fear. And maybe unpopular opinion? His father and mother were sh*t parents to his brother Rome and i don't them. little-storys Charmaine Nouwen4,063 19

Horrible

The MMC has no redeeming qualities. This was honestly atrocious. He rejects her because she’s a half breed. So racist? They have kids. He still rejects her, doesn’t have a backbone. The family still doesn’t approve and she what? Just takes it because she’s a wet mop. Jayna1 review
