Any time I see a new Abby Knox story drop, I get the biggest, dumbest grin. They just make me happy.

This one will probably be a reread, with the perfect balance of sweet, silly, and sexy. slightly dirty sexy, love it.

I adore a hero who’s so smitten that he can barely articulate around his crush… and when he finally gets his hands on (and in) her, he goes feral. Catnip. JT was all of that and then some.

And I equally adore a heroine that is fun and adventurous and sexually confident. Who isn’t a simpering daisy, a doormat, or out to shit talk the women around her. Franny is a delight and I wish I could hang out with her.

The last page of the epilogue had me wheeze laughing.funny-romance growly-man-bear insta-something ...more3 s Leslee2,449 71

Oh my heaven, an awkward hero, be still my heart! J.T. cannot keep it together when he is around his co-worker Franny. She thinks he hates her considering he doesn't hardly speak around her, unless grunting counts. He desperately wants to be able to tell her how he feels. So he jumps in to help her with her story for the newspaper. Unfortunately, his dad the county prosecutor isn't thrilled that the couple is butting their nose into a case of his. Just darling, I loved them working together against corruption in a small town. Deliciously sexy, such a fun read!1 kymagirl3,545 50

Franny (h23) and J.T. (H30), coworkers at a small town newspaper, seem to be at odds with one another, but in reality J.T. just finds her distracting in the very best way which Franny misinterprets as not liking her. The pair spend time together as Franny investigates a news story with implications regarding his father. Things heat up between the two, but Franny has a mild degradation kink that J.T. has to learn to lean into. Hot and sexy romantic quickie with a side of dirty talk.arcs contemporary owned1 Debbie Orazi1,746 24

This was a small town grumpy/sunshine office romance.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were relatable and quirky. The story was steamy and funny. Recommend.

Franny Burns is a 23 year old crime reporter for a small town newspaper. She is a 5'4" ball of energy with soulful eyes and a relentless mind. She thinks J.T. either hates her or is a weirdo.

J.T. Holmes is the grumpy senior sports writer for the same newspaper. His father is a local politician and his mother is an interior designer. He has been obsessed with Franny since she started at the paper, just being near her distracts him and he can't talk in complete sentences.

Franny has been trying to get an interview with his father for her newspaper story. She noticed some discrepancies and is trying to hunt down answers. J.T. helps her by blocking his father from leaving his office parking lot so Franny can schedule an interview with him. Afterwards J.T. kisses Franny. They make a date that night to track down more information for her article. He is determined to help her and breaks into his father's office to look for proof. While researching her story she finds out his father is having an affair with the defendant's wife and may be involved in criminal activity. While this is all happening they fall in love and later get their HEA.

Getting her scoop

Say That To Me is the second book in the Small-Town Gossip series. I am really loving this series and this story about Franny and J.T. is way OTT, quirky and makes you laugh. Franny is just starting her career as a reporter and has moved to a small town to work at the local newspaper. She has been hunting down a story that involves the Mayor but she cannot get the man to ever talk to her, even going so far as to camping out at his office. J.T. is the most senior reporter at the paper and sports is what he does. He is a bit quirky and barely ever says a word to Franny, even though she is sunshine and energy. All he seems to be able to do is grunt at her, which she takes to mean he does not her. But there are things that Franny does not know about J.T. which will become crystal clear quickly once he catches her in his office enjoying the view.

I enjoyed Say That To Me Book 2 of Small-Town Gossip. This book was actually very entertaining. Franny is a crime writer and JT is the sports writer for the same paper. JT gets tongue tied around Franny so he avoids talking to her, she thinks he hates her. When Franny is trying to get his father to talk to her he uses this as his opportunity to get closer to her. They have a budding relationship, are tracking a mysterious drug bust and also finding info on JT’s philandering father. This is a great story and I loved the characters. It’s hilarious at parts and also serious. I would definitely recommend this book.

No idea why but I was expecting serious dirty talk, but I wasn't disappointed when the dirty talk turned out to be quite mild. No this is a sweet short with two MCs that truly belong together. To have tainted their relationship with coarse unnecessary obscenities would have been so wrong. Instead, the sexy exchanges between Franny and J.T. were perfect.

As it is this turned out, this story is a cute romance (with a bit of extra spice) which has an interesting plot and a fun ending!. Perfect for an afternoon read.

This is the second book in the Small-Town Gossip series and it is easy to get lost in and is a delight to read.

Franny and J.T. work at the same paper - he writes the sports, she writes the investigative stories. When J.T. is around Franny, words escape him and his heart races, so when she need help getting comment from his dad, it is at least what he can do.

Love the passion and connection between Franny and J.T. The story has a great twist of mystery and suspense along with the electric chemistry.

Wowsa this book is a fast read and will have you hooked from the beginning until the end and the storyline flowed throughout the book. Franny and J.T both work at the newspaper and Franny has been working on a story that his father county attorney won't give her a interview. J.T has been fighting his feelings for Franny but can't do it anymore but will he help her with her news story ? This book was so good and smoking hot sex scenes. Loved it.

J.T and Franny work together at a small town newspaper... J.T. finds it hard to think around her, he can't string two words together and he can't tell her no... Franny thinks J.T. doesn't her, he's always glaring at her, watching her every move. But he's the only person who can help her. The pair share amazing chemistry that results in some very interesting reading. I enjoyed their journey to finding HEA and hoe there is more to this series!.

Another great read! We're back in Darling Creek and this time it's J.T sports news reporter and Franny crime news reporter that are getting attention. There's a mutual attraction between them, although neither one knows how the other feels. What will happen when Franny is trying to dig up the truth about a drugs case? Expect lots of twists, passion, laughter, love and more throughout. Enjoy!.

Franny and J.T. are coworkers at the same newspaper and he gets tongue tied every time she's around him. Things heat up between them when they start working on a story together concerning his father. This is a quick steamy read between two complete opposites who have intense chemistry together. This is a well written, fast paced, small town romance with a steamy twist. Abby Knox's Say that to Me, the second (but standalone) book in her Small-Town Gossip series, is a sweet, swoony, steamy office romance. J.T. and Franny work at the same small-town newspaper, yet are constantly at odds - completely due to misinterpreting each other's feelings. With chemistry in spades, this small town love story is full of entertaining banter and swoon-worthy romance.

This was a really cute book. J.T. And Franny were really sweet together with their great connection and chemistry. There is sweetness and steamy but also a little bit drama but it's nothing to keep JT and Franny apart. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for more.

A fun short story with lot of heat set in the town of Darling Creek.

We meet Franny and JT who have been circling each other for a while now but when Franny’s investigation grinds to a halt the one person she though hated her in the office ends up doing her a favour in more ways than one.

I read this book voluntarily for an honest review. Yareth837

J.T. A quiet, shy sports reporter who s to go unnoticed, and when Franny comes to work in the same place as him, everything is different. Enjoyed this cute read of reporters who are total opposites but attraction outweighs their awkward moments. Loved the chemistry between them, especially since JT is willing to help Franny at all possible points.
