When I saw the title of this book, I immediately knew it will be one h3ll of emotional rollercoaster from Carrie Aarons. And she didn't disappoint me. Levi and Sophie are soulmates in every sense but their love story is not all sunshine and rainbows. Messy mistakes. Toxic grief. And an epic second chance romance. This story wrecked me through and through but also filled my heart with warmth and light at the end.

Music God Levi and super model Sophie had a love that was epic in every sense. They had a whirlwind romance. Got married and had a baby girl. And things went downhill immediately. Now they are divorced and have a good co parent thing going on. But the truth is..The love never went away. Levi asks Sophie to join his next unconventional short scale tour with Hart, their daughter. Will it be their second chance? Or will it bring out all the ugly skeletons?

This story talks about a very important and less talked about topic here. Postpartum depression. The author dealt with it so sensitively. This story shows that even the superstars and celebrities can lose themselves when postpartum depression strikes. My heart was breaking for Levi and Sophie. They were both young and they didn't understand how to deal with it. And there were a lot of guilt, anger and pain..and heartbreak. The time has healed Sophie and she tried to do everything to heal herself. Years of therapy and medication went behind making her this strong woman again. She is incredible. I love her big loving adorable heart so much. She is not only taking care of her daughter and her career..she is helping others who need help her. But her heart is lonely. Levi know he messed up years ago and lost so much time. He just doesn't know how to make amends. This tour gave them the chance. Oh the angst in this book is just crazy! I was on verge of tears so many times. They had to work through the mountain of misunderstanding, miscommunication, heartache..and the world just wants a piece of gossip for their entertainment. It was hard but love makes everything possible. Levi is a perfect tortured musician and he owns my heart. The drama and the manipulative media were tearing them apart all over again but this time they were ready! It was definitely not an easy love story. It was raw. Gripping. Messy. Gut wrenching. But so so satisfying. PS I LOVE HART THIS KID IS JUST SO CUTE AND FIERCE.

I recently read a rockstar second chance that felt flat. And while its unusual for me to read a second book with a similar premise, I’m happy I did because this book restored my second-chance loving heart.
